Ball of ThoughtS...

EVERY LITTLE THING IN THIS WORLD IS THOUGHTS AND MIND OF THE GREATEST PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD….

It was the first class of Crisis Management, as the lecturer started off with a pinch on everyone’s hand. A strict lecturer, wearing a coat on his shoulder together with a polo-T, he really have a bad sense of fashion. But still, everyone was thrilled on how he actually started off a Saturday. We were forced to sit on the front rows for his class while it is hard for us as we need to raise our head high enough just to read those notes projected on the screen.

Class started and everyone got relaxed, jokes started coming in during lectures while laughter started joining into the fun an hour later. It was just like other normal classes that we had attended previously. There goes our lecture classes and 4 hours later, tutorial class will commence. (Tutorial classes are smaller groups held in a class room for effective studying and discussion).

Before we went for our tutorial, we were nervous as we thought that he was a cold blooded lecturer that is going to torture us during tutorial classes, by giving us torturing activities and also exercises as our class work and all the imaginations continued until we reached the classroom’s door.

I stood there is freeze looking on how the classroom was arranged. It was arranged as though we are going to play musical chair. Still, we placed our bags down on the tables beside and sat at different places, started chatting around until he came in to the class from the gents.

Class started and of course, we started off with an ice breaking session, and he told us, as a crisis manager, we must have good listening and memory skills, therefore, we would need to memorize on what has been mentioned from the first person who speaks until the person sitting right next to you. Which is totally a torture on the brain, but it is a good exercise though. It took us approximately an hour to play in this game, and it was sort of tiring as we thought everything was over.

The lecturer then walked calmly to his bag and took out a ball and very obviously, we are going to play ball and this was the instruction given. Mentioned a person’s name and pass the ball to that person. A person who has received the ball will not receive the ball again. So, we started throwing to everyone, by remembering on who had received and who has not, another memory game.

We finished that round, and that was not it. This was the next instruction: please throw the ball back to the same person you threw previously in the shortest time. Therefore, we threw in again and we’ve got a time of 1 minute 20 seconds. But seems like things doesn’t really work that way, and we found out the problem.

We change and change our strategy, from changing seats to touching the ball all at once, gaining a record of less than 1 second, as the starting was also the ending. It was a fun strategy game to build up team work, but at the same time, it was also a taught on how to deal with crisis when a company is facing crisis, as CHANGE is the word to solving a problem.

Imagine if a ball as small as a palm could teach us so many things in life, therefore, there is no ending of learning from things around us everyday, every minute or every second. Humans create things with a purpose, while humans that could fully utilize and understand the meaning of those things, are humans that could conquer knowledge, at the same time, conquer the world.

Never give up on learning, as it is an ongoing process.

Change according to situation, be flexible on who you are.

Think CreativEly, as it is the way of succession.
