~A Stranger’s power~

HUMANS TOUCHES ARE AMAZING, AREN’T THEY? A TOUCH AND A WORD FROM A MOTHER TO A BABY WILL GIVE WARMTH AND LOVE TO THE BABY; LOVERS TOUCH AND WORDS WOULD BUILD A RELATIONSHIP WITH MORE LOVE; A TOUCH AND A WORD FROM A FRIEND WILL BRING A CLOSER RELATIONSHIP THAN NEVER BEFORE. SO, WHO HAVE YOU TOUCHED AND SPOKEN TODAY?

Walking through streets, getting rid of stress within us, from work, from home, from everywhere, as living in a city would be a life with endless stress and problems. Walking through paths, from a shopping mall to another, trying to get what we wanted is just to fulfill the satisfaction in us. Walking with friends, would be the time where we wouldn’t want to feel lonely. Talking to friends is the time when we want to let everyone know that we still exist. But there is still something missing in the middle of everything…

From shopping malls to another, from a pedestrian street to another, from a hectic street to another, and from a polluted place to another, finally, we slowed down out footsteps, as there was a crowd right in front of us, circling around something that we couldn’t even see. Curiosity might kill the cat, but curiosity might also build something new at the moment, therefore we went and take a peep on what is happening.

A young man, standing under the hot sun, holding a board, “Free Hugs”, waiting for everyone standing around him to give him a hug, making his life better, but only a few went up for it. It happened to us, as we stood for quite a while, looking at what he is up to, and when we planned to leave, we though of something. If he could fulfill the number of hugs within time, wouldn’t we be helping him to get home earlier?

True that this will happen, but sometimes, better thing happens. We walked up to him, an environment which is empty, as he was only surrounded by people, and he open up his hands with a warm welcoming smile. We hugged each other and he said “have a nice day...” and therefore, I replied the same, “have a nice day to you too…”

With a big and tight hug, we let go and I walked away, as his words really opened up my day. I felt happy as if I did something right for the first time in my life, as if there thingswill be perfect for my whole day, as if it was really the right day for me, and indeed, it was, as those simple words, cheered up my day, but not the faith of helping him completing his job.

I didn’t know who that guy was, I didn’t know on where he came from, how old he was, totally nothing. But humans are amazing, with just a simple touch between humans, and with just such simple words, it made my day go went so well, as it never had happened before, and I hoped he would feel good too. Therefore, we left, as many more went after that, just to get a free hug from this amazing anonymous.

Humans are amazing creature. We communicate in different ways, we do things differently, we think differently, but there is always something in common. A simple speech, a simple touch, changes life like no others. Therefore, speech at any time, touch at any moment, would cherish yourself up, and also the rest around you.
